Anyone who has lived in the CSRA area long enough knows that we are no strangers to the threat of hurricanes. Hurricane Helene, however, is something that we have never quite seen before. With downed trees, power lines, and branches littering Aiken, many struggle to navigate the damage they see. Along with bad, comes good, and one positive thing that has come in the aftermath of Helene is the goodness of our community. We have come together to tackle our collective burdens with kindness.
A Shout Out to First Responders, Tree Professionals, State and City Workers
Hundreds and thousands of people can thank the first responders. They’ve worked around the clock knocking out one neighborhood at a time. Although we have not been completely powered up, we are running at rapid speed. We are also thankful to so many who worked tirelessly during the storm, post-Helene, and night and day. We are forever grateful for all that you do.
Sunshine Softwash & Windows is Rolling up Our Sleeves Too
Sunshine Softwash & Windows is, likewise, overwhelmed by the severity of the damage done to our area. Everywhere we look there are hundreds of live oaks, mature trees, and cherished historical ones uprooted as if someone just plucked them out of the ground. For those lucky enough that their roofs got spared; now the clean-up and recovery begins. That is where we come in.
